Technology Park Split
The Technology Park Split is located in a renovated building originally designed as part of a military complex and later transformed into a hub for advanced technologies. Due to the architectural configuration of the building, several functions are positioned on mezzanine levels, making orientation within the 4,252 m² facility demanding. The presence of multiple entrances and intersecting circulation routes further complicates navigation, making detailed spatial analysis a key step in the signage design process.
The project introduces a visually distinctive signage system based on raster lines and layered structures. Each orientation sign consists of three panels, two of which contain printed line rasters. By carefully spacing the layers, a subtle analog animation effect is created: as users move past the signage, the shift in perspective makes the graphic elements appear animated. The use of translucent red plexiglass also introduces a strong color accent to the predominantly white interior.
The result is an innovative wayfinding system that combines functionality with a strong visual identity. The modular design allows the system to be easily expanded while maintaining a clear connection to the architecture and technological character of the building.
